| DigiCamControl - A 'Free' open source software for 'Windows'. It can be used as a 'Poor Man's Dragon Frame'. It controls many DSLR Cameras and saves the Hi-Res captured-grabbed photos to your computer's drive. It has Live View and an Overlay Onion Skin feature so you can see the Previous Frame. The Cam Control software can only play back the entire animation session. While animating you cannot jog or scrub through the photos (frames). A possible work-around option is a Two Camera set-up: The DSLR camera captures-grabs the Hi-Res images. The second camera, such as an HD WebCam (connected to a Free Stop Motion software), is also used to capture-grab the Low-Res preview photos which you can play-back frame by frame anytime during the in progress animation session. So ... you use 2 different stop motion software ... DigiCamControl for the DLSR and any free stop motion software for the HD WebCam >> Using DigiCamControl for Stop Motion |
