King Kong 1933 – How it was made BS

Many moons ago, when I was a mere child ;) , I recall a magazine (was it ‘Famous Monsters;?) where they re-printed the behind the scenes special effects for the 1933 King Kong.

They used drawn illustrations to explain the effects, and the information was ‘not correct’ or ‘not accurate’ in describing the special effects. Perhaps just marketing-publicity endorsed by RKO studio? I found these images online from the magazine but unfortunately, not very good quality and difficult to read
