Hmmm … I noticed something that these few crowd-funding projects that I previously posted seemed to be West Coast, Southern California with budgets maybe on high end for the bigger projects. Not saying anything negative about Southern Cal, but merely an observation .
Alba E Garcia-Rivas exudes that New York Bronx spirit and much charisma from this Puertan Rican ‘Artista’.
Her all puppet Stop Motion animation project ‘Time/Space Reflections‘ is seeking crowd funding assistance to help realize the financing goal of $20,000. USD budget. Compared to other crowd funding animated projects this seems small. Our stop motion community may be small to support the many stop motion projects but hopefully other’s outside of stop motion will appreciate independent animated shorts. Alba may not be in the Hollywood Indie clique or in their connections circle but her enthusiasm & passion is infectious, to perhaps touch you and generate donation pledge responses.
“An inventor loses her twin sister in an accident. She creates a space-time portal machine to find her” ….
IMO, to some extent, the ’smaller production budgets’ often force more resourceful creativity. The crew is much smaller with EACH person usually having multiple eclectic talents & skills. Of course having money makes it easier but I think too much budget can at times, be negative (less creative). Ray Harryhausen’s classic works were always donr with very low budgets but having high production quality.
As of this posting, $2,130. in pledge support. So $17,870. needed to reach the $20,000. goal in 19 Days, by Thursday Sep 12, 12:04pm East coast time (USA).
